UPDATED to include most recent Pennsylvania filings.
ORIGINAL: At least 50 new copyright lawsuits by a new Plaintiff in the bittorrent arena were filed by “Plastic the Movie” in Florida and Pennsylvania on Friday.
The cases each allege a single infringement: a British action flick receiving a whopping 32/100 on metacritic.com (I swear there’s a pattern here).
The 40 cases in Florida and 10 filed in Pennsylvania leave little doubt that this is the beginning of a wave of filing for our new UK-based Plaintiff.
Defendants can expect to receive notices of Plastic the Movie subpoenas to their ISPs within the next few weeks, depending on the judge handling each case.
If you receive a notice in one of these cases, please don’t hesitate to call. I have a ton of experience with this kind of litigation and with these players in particular. I can help you understand what your options are and how to achieve the best outcome possible. (888) 801-8681.
