11 new Malibu Media lawsuits in Pennsylvania ring in the New Year

Malibu Media has filed 11 new lawsuits in Pennsylvania over alleged illegal downloading. The filings occurred at the very end of December, 2015, just in time for the New Year. Pennsylvania was the location of the landmark Bellwether trial where Malibu Media successfully obtained $2,250 per infringement. Since then, the nation has seen approximately 5,000 lawsuits filed on behalf of this one plaintiff, alone. Defendants in the newest of these Malibu Media lawsuits can expect to begin receiving notices of the subpoenas from their service providers in the middle of January. These subpoenas seek the subscribers’ names and addresses.
