Malibu Media files three new cases in Ohio in March

March 29, 2015 · Leonard J. French, Esq.

Everyone's favorite copyright Plaintiff filed three, but only three, new cases this week in Ohio's Northern District. While it's hard to speculate, there likely is a limit to the number of file-sharers in any given location. The cases continue Malibu's practice of filing suit after 13-or-so infringements accumulate. This means the suits involve larger dollar figures than suits from many other plaintiffs simply because damages are directly proportional to the infringement count. If you receive a notice in these or another Malibu matter, please don't hesitate to call. I have represented hundreds of defendants in these types of matters and I can help you achieve the best outcome possible, whether it be through litigation or settlement.
